In the footsteps of company adventures, castles and wines in Zemplén

Máté Gergely 2024. 10. 14. Team building

This autumn we set out to discover the wonders of Zemplén. On the bus ride together, we had the usual Barré cookies – thanks to Ivan 😊! Without him, the company outing would not be real. 😊

Our first stop was Boldogkő Castle, where we were given a special guided tour in costume. We had a real time travel where the secrets and history of the castle came to life. The exciting experience was followed by a hearty lunch and then we continued our journey to Telkibánya, where our accommodation awaited us.

Upon arrival in Telkibánya, the team building programme began immediately! Our tour guide was a local celebrity, “Telkimanó”, who not only introduced us to the mysteries of the forest, but also led the team competition.

On Saturday morning, we took a small train to Kőkapu and then climbed up to Füzér Castle with its stunning panorama. It was as if the whole of Zemplén lay at our feet!
In the afternoon, we had a wine tasting lunch – with Tokaj wines and delicious food, we enjoyed the company and the flavours of Zemplén.

Team games and quizzes rounded off the day on both evenings, and of course the Barré Challenge Cup was once again up for grabs.

Sunday was not an uneventful day either: although the weather was not kind to us and the Zemplén Adventure Park was largely closed, we still managed to try bobsleighing.
It was an adrenaline-filled end to the trip.
