The SAP Integrated Document Repository enables organizations to store documents and their meta-data related to different SAP modules in a structured way in IBM FileNet using the IBM Content Collector. In IBM FileNet, it is possible to create different logical structures along SAP modules (e.g., SAP SRM, SD, etc.) and to link the stored documents to SAP transactions.

The document store provides an advanced archiving solution, reducing storage and infrastructure costs. Documents created in SAP are stored transparently to SAP users in IBM FileNet, aligning with the organization’s unified document management policy. The IBM FileNet also monitors the expiry date of the documents managed in this way, so that their data can be automatically archived or deleted after expiry. Through IBM FileNet’s user interface and standardized interface, controlled access to documents is possible, for users or other systems.
